Hi, I recently gained L1 certification through Judge Academy (over a week ago), but my JudgeApp level is still uncertified. I’m hoping to get this resolved ASAP as I’m worried it will affect me applying to judge at nearby events. Thank you.
I am having the same issue. I only gained my certification yesterday, but there are a number of conferences with upcoming deadlines I would like to apply to.
Hi Dominic and Tyler, I’m sorry to hear about this. This issue will likely have to be resolved via Judge Academy, as they are responsible for sending the data to JudgeApps that indicates you certified via Judge Academy. Please contact Judge Academy via www.judgeacademy.com/contact-us/ or questions@judgeacademy.com.
I have heard several reports about this issue though, so I do plan to follow up and see if there is anything systemic going awry that can be improved.
As for applying to events, I encourage you to apply for events as usual, but indicate in your cover letter that you are actually Level 1 (linking to your Judge Academy profile if necessary). Although inconvenient, I trust that event/conference organizers will understand the delay.
This is an old thread, but describes my issue pretty well - JudgeApps still shows that I’m only level 1, but I reached level 2 back in September 2022. When I first reached out to the JudgeApps team, I was instructed to contact Judge Academy, but when I contacted Judge Academy, they redirected me back to JudgeApps.
