I initially clicked L3 policy exam but then decided I wanted to instead submit an L2 rules question instead, I changed the exam, but it wouldn’t autoupdate the question type to be something valid for an L2 rules exam. upon submission it reloaded the page, saving all my work and simply told me I’d made an invalid selection. it THEN allowed me to select the correct question type.
As long as your progress wasn’t lost here, I don’t really see any problem that we can fix. Attempting to submit a form is the correct way to run any validation that needs to happen, and writing one-off javascript to update the options in one field based on the choices of another would be a lot of work for little benefit.
