I’m currently editing event 10674.
I created it in English, and was able to select “United States of America” as the country. After I clicked edit, the drop down to select country has switched to the French names of each country.
This happens sometimes and I have absolutely no idea why. Something is caching the names of the countries, but I have no idea what. Sorrry 
It normally seems to go back to English after a little while.
It turned out that this was a bug, and it has now been fixed. Not sure why I didn’t mark this thread as “resolved” earlier.
