DCI already registered

Hi, I’m a L2 judge mentoring some new to-be-judges. One of them had an account on “JudgeCore/JudgeCenter”, I’m not sure, and tried to create a JudgeApps account, but he is not able to do so because his DCI is already registered. However, when I search for his DCI in the Judges section on Apps, he is nowhere to be found.

Any ideas on what might be going on? And yes, he tried to recover his password, but nothing happened.

When a user signs up to JudgeApps, their profile doesn’t appear until the email is verified and the account becomes active.
