Changes on who can create events

I’m having multiple TOs in France informing me that they can’t create events anymore. While some of them recently registered and I thought it might be a “Your account needs to be old enough” issue, another TO has been on Apps for a while and even created their own events in the past, but can’t anymore.

While I can create the events for them and put them in admin, is that an intentional change ? what are the exact conditions to create an event ?

Are,

Due to recent spam issues, I have restricted event creation to a specific group of users. This access currently includes:

  • Anyone with a level 1 or higher certification with any active judge program
  • Anyone who pays dues to any active judge program
  • A short list of people who created events recently as of when I imposed this requirement and who are not members of a judge program
  • A few people who have requested access directly

You are welcome to create events for them, or post a link to their JudgeApps accounts here and I can add them to the list.

We may revisit this in the future, but who knows if we’ll even be here in a few months.

Thank you for the quick answer :slight_smile:

My suggestion would be to add something along the lines of “Anyone who has participated in at least 5 events”, this way judges can create the 1st 5 events, and then TOs become autonomous.

But as you said, we don’t know the future of Apps, so if it’s too much work I am just going to opt for the solution you kindly offered, link you their apps account :
